New Thinking in Control Reliability — 2007

This pre­sen­ta­tion dis­cuss­es the advance­ment in think­ing about func­tion­al safe­ty for machin­ery that occurred between EN 954–1:95, ISO 13849–1:99 and ISO 13849–1:2005. This was the peri­od when the struc­tur­al cat­e­gories were sup­ple­ment­ed by prob­a­bilis­tic cal­cu­la­tions involv­ing MTTFd, DC, and CCF.
