RA2W - Introduction to Machinery Risk Assessment 2 days This workshop is based on the risk assessment methodology found in ISO 12100:2010 (formerly in ISO 14121-1), and is intended for people who will be applying risk assessment in their work. The workshop introduces the basic concepts used in machinery risk assessment. Students learn various methodologies and examine the concept of risk vs. hazard. The workshop will focus on theoretical and practical application of risk assessment methodology to industrial machinery and processes. Discussion will touch on the application of risk control measures and the Hierarchy of Controls, including the role of Functional Safety Standards like ISO 13849-1.
